Hi, I am a 66 y.o. Lady who would love to stay at your house and care for your pet while you are gone. I own a house in Brookside, have dogs and cats, and am a retired x-ray technician. I have experience with house and pet sitting, both overnight and daily. I have always loved animals, and feel that they should never be boarded. They have feelings and show emotions just as we do, and to have to stay in a strange place with strange people puts a huge strain on any animal subjected to this. To be in their home allows them to see me be invited in, be accepted by you, then introduced to and allowed to show my feelings and love for them, so they, too will accept and feel comfortable around me. This way, I will become your substitute. Not a replacement, but someone who offers the thing that you do, so that while you are gone, the adjustment for them becomes easier and more natural, in their own home, where they are used to being. The same furniture, yard,, noises, and even smells that are natural to them. The fewer changes, the better. And I, would be the only change. But, whatever that pet is used to, music, television, or playing outside, even reading to them, is what they will experience with me. The main thing is that if I talk to them and show them affection, they will know that not only have you allowed me in, you have accepted me, and it’s ok for them to accept me I also welcome a phone call everyday, or a newborn to drop by and so that you can relax and be assured that all is well with your home and family.
