Hello, my name is Gavin, and for 1 year I have been providing Seattle homeowners and pet owners peace of mind and security while they are away. As a part-time outdoor preschool teacher, I have the flexibility to care for your pets and spend time at your home. I am in my early twenties, a non-smoker, have no dependents and no pets. As a young professional who has been renting for 3 years, I have missed having pets of my own. As a pet sitter, I get my dose of furry (or nonfurry) cuddling, play and going for walks whilst giving your pet the same kind of attention and care you would give if you were here. Most of all, I want to house sit so that your pet stays in an environment they are comfortable in and you get to travel knowing that I will care for your home as if it was my own. I am experienced with all kinds of pets from dogs and cats to lizards and birds. My love for animals started when I was a kid; growing up with dogs and cats but also caring for exotic pets. In high school, I had pet lizards and fish and in college, I was responsible for caring for all of the animals that were housed in our biology department building. This past year I have cared for 4 dogs and 5 cats which included a puppy, a senior dog, and two cats that required pilling (references available). My approach to caring for animals is very similar to how I approach children as a preschool teacher: help meet their needs, engage with them at their level and show them kindness and love. In addition to teaching at the preschool level, I am also an experienced landscaper and gardener. If interested Lawn maintenance, weeding, pruning and fall yard clean up could be part of my house sitting services.
