House Sitter in Virginia Beach, Virginia

Hi! I'm available immediately to house/pet sit, long or short term, and am willing to travel out of my area for a longer-term situation of a month or more -- perfect for military or civilian contractors who are deploying or going TDY. I love animals and I'm very experienced sitting for older dogs and cats, but am also good with other pets...or just the house. :) My longest house sitting job was for slightly over a year -- I cared for an elderly Boxer and a Boston Terrier puppy and ran the household while the homeowner worked out of town (they occasionally returned for a weekend). I'm reliable, responsible and have excellent references. About me - I've recently gone from single mom to "empty nester" and am a professional writer, currently under contract to write a feature film screenplay. I've worked on government logistics contracts overseas and have had an extensive career in the airline industry. Now, I'm lucky to be doing what I love (writing) and am looking for opportunities to house sit while I work remotely on this big project -- writing tends to go smoother without roommates.
