House Sitter in Sayreville, New Jersey

Hi there! We're Kelli and Ryan, a married couple who has been housesitting all over the world since 2014. We both have location-independent businesses and can work from anywhere. When we're not spending time abroad, we split our time at home in NJ staying with family and doing housesits in NY, NJ and CT. Only a 40 min bus ride to the city. Unless use of a vehicle is provided, we can't do assignments where one is required since we don't own a car. We would pay for our own gas of course. Flexible on dates and locations. Have done assignments in a wide variety of locales from rural to urban, luxurious villas to a bare-bones house in the middle of the jungle. Have a lot of experience caring for cats and dogs with a variety of needs and temperaments. Ryan grew up with birds of all sorts such as cockatiels, cockatoos, African grey parrots and parakeets and knows a lot about their needs. We have also cared for farm animals such as chickens, pigs and alpacas. We know how important it is not only to have your pets taken care of but truly loved and we will certainly deliver...they will probably get sick of all the attention we give them! We are kind of homebodies and adding in the work-from-home element, we are never away for long so your pets will never be left on their own for extended periods. We are very familiar with NYC so we won't be about and about doing tourist things day after day. Nightlife is definitely not our thing and it's rare for us to be out late into the night for any reason so if it's important your home not be unoccupied in these later hours, we'll be there. We don't drink or smoke; very quiet and respectful of neighbors. I know a lot of people say they will treat your home and belongings like their own but in our own experience, we treat other people's stuff with greater care precisely because it's NOT ours...if we ruin our own stuff, who cares? ;)I would feel so much worse about damaging someone else's! I know it can be a bit nerve-wracking to leave your home and animals in the care of strangers and we want to do everything we can to make it a positive experience for you We just joined this site in August 2019. Will work on reaching out to past owners to request they submit a reference by email, which isn't a very official system. I would be able to show verified references from other sites and would be happy to provide contact info if you wish to speak with them further. I see this site does not seem to have an option to upload pictures of the home--would need to see those before committing.
