House Sitter in Seattle, Washington

Hello - I'm Athena and I have been house and petsitting for friends and clients through a few sites for the last 8 years. My high ratings and repeat clientele are because of my attention to detail about the needs of your pet, plants, and home. I'm happy to discuss waiving rates for housing - I am in the last three weeks of a 4-month housesit in Ravenna and got to stay for free and save up for a new apartment in trade for housekeeping, plant care, and taking care of two pets. It's great and wish I could stay - but I'm thinking I want to see if there's any more long-term sabbatical house-sits available for someone who has my experience. I would LOVE to have the opportunity to house/petsit for you so I can have a nice reprieve during my studies and your pets and/or home gets attention while you're away. I am in my late-40's, and have been in the F&B field for two decades, am a former award and grant-winning filmmaker, studied and worked in television covering 10 years of my life in media. I grew up in an inner-city, then moved in my late teens on a 44-acre farm where we raised sheep, chickens, and baled hay. I trained our dogs to herd, was a part of our 4-H Club, rode, groomed, and fed horses, and learned to hunt deer, turkey, and fish trout and big-mouth bass. Now, I am heading into working on my BS in Health Services Coordination full time in 2020. I co-parent an 14 year old son who sometimes accompanies me in my house/petsitting. If you have a place or pet that is not child-friendly, but still need me, there are sections of time I am child-free. If he can join me, know he is being carefully trained in pet care and would never be left alone with animals or at the home. We BOTH have great recommendations from people we have sat for, especially long-term! Feel free to ask me anything and hope we get to work together!
