Hey there, my name is MJ. I'm a 27 year old woman living in Los Angeles, CA as a working artist. I'm a caring, down to earth person who has strong communication interpersonal skills. I’ve lived and house sat in Washington, New York, and San Francisco in the past. I genuinely care about taking care of spaces and helping to form a relationship where you feel secure in being away. Years ago, I had two personal experiences of subletting my home for short time periods, and both were frustrating and violating to return to. My home was in a state of disarray, with items broken / missing or clearly rifled through, trash left, beds unmade, dishes left - and these were people I felt I could trust. After these experiences, I realized some people simply don’t have the same attention to detail and respect in a space, their own or others. I know intimately how sacred a home is, and how important it is to feel secure when it’s in someone else’s care. Since then, I’ve always gone the extra mile whenever I’m gifted the trust to care for someone else’s space. I want your home to feel warm, comfortable, clean and loved when you come back to it, and my ideal is always better than you left it. House sitting for me is a way to supplement my income as a working artist, and connect with new people in the community. I am happy to do cleaning, pet care, plant care, garden care, receive mail, and other little things so you know your home is in good hands.
