Inviting a stranger into your home is one thing. Leaving them unsupervised for days to a time can cause a great deal of anxiety while you are supposed to be enjoying your vacation. I am former police officer with years in the security industry (it paid better). I'm also drug and alcohol free and pretty much a homebody. I have a current DPSST card which is the Oregon security license and requires a back ground check before it can be issued. If you have a lot of plants you'd like to keep alive on extended trips, I'm your woman. Some people rescue animals. I used to rescue orchids from the trash bin to bring them back to health. I managed to get many of them to bloom again and even had a couple producing babies before I moved and had to give them away. I love cats of just about any kind, but cuddly ones are my favorites. I prefer small, happy dogs in particular, but a well behaved and trained large dog is okay, too. I grew up on a farm and we raised rabbits, horses, hamsters, and chickens, too.
