House Sitter in Eugene, Oregon

My name is Kerry. Currently, I work as a self-employed housekeeper or “home detailer”, as I sometimes call it ? I’ve been doing this work for about 6 years now, in the Eugene area. Several clients of mine have been with me that entire time. I recently had two clients suspend services due to major life changes (I.e. having a newborn baby and taking time off of work). I think many of the skills and qualities that have made my small cleaning business successful would make me a good fit as a house sitter. Cleaning someone’s home is a very personal thing. It’s a big deal to trust someone in your home, whether you’re there with them or not, and it’s a big deal to be trusted. Trusted on several levels. Overall respect for the job of helping someone take care of their home and personal space, having a clear grasp of the clients needs and preferences, as well as personality and communication style, is of primary importance. That understanding, along with my experience and flexibility, allows me to do my job to each persons individual specifications, in a thorough and efficient manner, with the utmost respect for the trust put in me to take care of what is so personal and central to someone’s life. What I do as a housekeeper: *One time deep cleaning, bringing every detail up to par, followed by regular (usually every other week) appointments. *I will do almost any household task that doesn’t qualify as a biohazard *Pet clean up (litter boxes etc.) *Bathrooms *Kitchens (including dishes, inside fridge/drawers/etc.) *Floors of all kinds (hardwood, laminate, vacuuming, etc.) *Windows (indoor and any outdoor I can safely reach without a ladder) *Laundry and bedding changes *Detailing: light switches, baseboards, light fixtures, doors and doorknobs, inside drawers, fridges, washing machines, taking out trash and recycling, general organization and clutter reduction. That’s a bit about me and what I do. What I can do as a house sitter: *Come by on a regular basis, possibly daily, to: *pick up mail *care for pets (feed, change litter, etc) *light dusting and other cleaning *Outdoor upkeep, such as picking up newspapers, sweeping porch areas, light raking/landscape tidying *other requests (?) My current schedule and it’s flexibility should allow me to take on house sitting jobs, depending on the extent of your needs.
