House Sitter in Shoreline, Washington

Hello, As an experienced pet/house sitter and a pet and equine owner for the past 25 years, I've gained a full understanding of the responsibilities required to properly care for not only my own animals, but those of another. At this time, I do not have any household pets and my horse is currently boarded at an excellent stable, therefore not requiring my daily attention. As he has become the most loved horse on the property, he is showered with kindness and attention by not only the stable master but all who visit the property. Knowing he has this level of quality interaction daily, I am at ease with not visiting him during the week but weekends only (weekend visits can be adjusted as well). As for my most recent long term pet-sitting opportunity, it was a 6 month period as a pet and home sitter on Joint Base Lewis McChord for two adorable dogs and one high energy kitten. Since then, I've provided pet sitting for a home with two adventuresome cats, Odus & Harley on several occasions. It is common for me to travel to Central Washington to provide house and horse sitting services on the weekends as well. During these times, I am able to bring my faithful companion Gus (horse) with me for a wonderful mini get-away! Having been raised in a rural environment, my background includes caring for large livestock and many household pets (excepting snakes). One of the qualities I provide is a knowledge of sharing companionship with cherished house pets that includes scheduled feedings, attention through conversation and petting, daily exercise, providing medical care as needed as well as maintaining a safe environment. A second quality I bring to the table is a respect for older pets and the delicate care they seek & require. My current housing has two lovable dogs but as they belong to my roommate, I am not responsible for their daily care. Of course, the pups do expect me to take them for long walks on the beach and act as a pitcher for their 'ball fetching' obsession which tends to be daily. I reside in Richmond Beach and am a manager at my job site. As my work is located in Shoreline and my work hours are M-F, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., my schedule is very suitable for morning & evening feedings and walks. It also provides 3-4 hours of companionship nightly with additional timelines on the weekends. Shoreline is easily acceptable by various routes and an easy commute which allows me to be receptive to pet/house sitting with a 15 mile radius. However, locations further than this are always up for discussion. Prior to moving to Seattle 10 months ago, I lived on a 50 acre Wildlife Refuge in another state and managed all aspects of the property while maintaining a management position within the nearby city. As the property focused on attracting wildlife, feeding and watering sites required daily tending. My own animals at that time included 10 horses, 5 cats and a dog. All of which expected my undivided attention, love and training. When it comes to the safety of your home, I am comfortable managing household concerns that arise, requiring immediate maintenance attention. While I do not claim to be a repairman, I will follow your directives or should you be abroad or indisposed, I have the wisdom to seek the assistance needed to prevent further problems or damages to your property.
