House Sitter Job in Cape Elizabeth, Maine

Hi, We're looking for a reliable person who can check in on our house and clear snow when needed during the months of January, February and March - possibly some days in December and possibly continuing a little after March. Service Requirements: Our family would benefit from regular visits to the house for short periods. Possibly overlapping with work folks doing some renovations to the interior during this period. Would love someone local who can easily go by the house to check on it and who would have the initiative to do a check after storm, snow event, heavy rain, extreme cold and so on. Candidate would then contact us about any issues and if possible be on site to let in repair people. Details can be worked out. - Check mail - Check interior to ensure heat is working and to check for burst pipes, leaks, water in basement, other issues and alert us to anything wrong. - Clear snow - don't think it will be too physically onerous. We can also arrange for someone to plow and just clean up required if need be. Notes On Availability: We can be flexible for the right candidate. You can go by at a time of day that works for you. Schedule can depend on need - more checks during stormy weather, fewer when everything is quiet. Could be 3-4 times per week or more or less if need be. We intend to be at the house most weekends, but might need a visit if we can't make it during weather events. Pay per hour and negotiable.
