House Sitter in Arlington, Virginia

Good afternoon: My wife and I will be in the DC area for the above two months. I am retiring from federal government service; she retired three years ago. We will be involved in various end-of-career administrative processes. Most of these engagements will take place in Northern VA, with occasional trips into DC proper. We know the area well, having lived and owned a house in Fairfax County for nearly 20 years. We are looking for a place to stay for those eight weeks. We are responsible, non-smokers, considerate of the belongings of others. This would be a first for us. Would consider caring for a cat (or two) having been cat owners most of our lives. We will have one, possibly two, cars with us. Would prefer Northern VA (Arlington, Alexandria, Annandale, Falls Church) but would consider DC proper.
