House Sitter in Bar Harbor, Maine

Hi, I'm a freelance writer/photographer looking for a live-in housesit in the Bar Harbor area. I'd also consider the Blue Hill Peninsula, Portland, Camden/Rockport or Rockland area and islands. I'm mid-fifties and a former homeowner who knows how important it is to feel that your home is safe, warm and in good care while you're away. I'm clean, responsible, organized, and respect your privacy and your space. I've been housesitting (usually several weeks at a time) since 2016 in a lovely historic home near Strawbery Banke in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. While there, I also care for the owner's gentle but active Black Lab, taking her to the dog park, for long walks on the beach or trails, keeping her happy in her familiar routine. I also spend time in the Berkshires. I would need three things: good wi-fi and cell service, decent natural light and reasonable quiet. In my spare time, I enjoy art galleries and museums, workshops and lectures, a good library/bookstores, Celtic/folk/trad music (I play Irish whistles and flutes), interesting cinema, great coffee and restaurants, a decent grocer and seafood market, gym/yoga studio, and the great outdoors nearby. Houses, apartments, condos, lofts, cottages or cozy cabins all considered. References available.
