House Sitter in Asheville, North Carolina

I am a retired professor and, when visiting my children in Asheville, I choose to seek a position as a housesitter or a dogsitter as this choice provides me with more independence. I visit Asheville for long periods of time. I have had dogs all my life. As a matter of fact, my father had declared:: "This child will be raised with a dog". I was a few days old when Miquette came home. She was a Maltese, my great love who died when I was 18- she, too was 18. I was a student in England then, but traveled back to France after having been informed she was fading away. She waited for me to die. My last 3 pets were a German Sheperd, King died at the age of 15. Odin, my Great Dane passed at the age of 13. These 2 traveled with me to Arizona when I began teaching there. They flew with me when I spent a sabbatical year in Algeria. My last dog was a female. She was a mix (Rhodisian Ridgeback, Greyhound and a bit of Lab), Zoe was euthanised 6 years ago after having been operated twice because of breast cancer; she was then almost 16. I could not leave them for more than 2 weeks. If longer, they came along. Dogs and pets in general hold no secrets for me. Life is just not complete without them. As for housesitting, I am known to be a very tidy and organised person. I would, then take good care of your possessions
