House Sitter in Portland, Oregon

Hi! My name is Vicki and I have lived in St. Johns, Portland for three and a half years now and I just got back from working on a farm in Hawaii for the last two months. Currently working part time at a food cart, selling macrame jewelry (made by yours truly), and now getting back into house sitting in order to raise the money needed to buy a van, convert it to live in, and continue to work on farms across the US with my dear pug, Thor. Thor is a sweet nine year old pug that I adopted 6 years ago and he is my world. He is well-behaved, house-trained, and patient (and sometimes playful) with other animals. He loves naps, exploring new places, and food. We're a lot alike. Though, he does shed a little, he is a very clean dog who avoids water puddles, mud, and even wet grass. He almost always makes it back home with clean paws. I'm looking to house sit with my dog in the North/Northwest area of Portland. Preferably St. Johns/Kenton neighborhoods so that I'm close to my job as I don't yet have a vehicle. I have experience house sitting, long term and short term, for different friends in my neighborhood the last few years. All of which included responsibilities of caring for pets, watering plants, taking out trash and recycling, and, of course, deterring thieves away by showing somebody is home with a "vicious" dog. If you haven't picked it up already, I am quite a big animal and plant lover. If your home is filled with green, leafy life, I will happily take care of plants and make sure they are watered and nourished. If your dog or cat has separation anxiety or requires special attention, I will gladly go the extra mile to make sure your baby is feeling safe, loved, and secure. I always make it a point to leave a place better than I found it. Not to say that I will redecorate your rooms or reorganize your belongings, but I am sure to leave a home squeaky clean.
