My name is Jen, and I understand being anxious leaving your home. Let me help! I'm a 32 year old female with my own car. If you have internet (signal doesn't work everywhere around here) I have no problem doing a webcam walkthrough of your house when im there, so you can have peace of mind and talk to your fur-family if you wish. I like to check in and let you know things are taken care of. I am good with all animals, having had turtles, snakes and lizards (live fed too), cats, dogs, fish, birds (including chickens and ducks), and have taken care of horses for weeks at a time. HOWEVER: I do prefer smaller animals as I have physical disabilities with lifting, and I'm not insured and must waive liability, especially with ill or high-risk critters. This includes diabetic and seizure-prone or pregnant pets, and outdoor animals like horses, livestock, licensed guard dogs, chickens, barn cats, goats, emus, and sheep. Animal nature happens, wildlife is tenacious, and I can't do much about those situations. I know first aid, but can't be responsible for the vet bill. I'll of course work with you on that understanding and feed, water, and keep things comfortable and healthy as if they were my own. I give 100% and then some to keep the peace and hold the fort, and I understand animals are family! Just tell me what to do, how you feed them, or administer medications. My price is flexible; it really depends on gas, how many times a day i need to be at your place, and what i need to do. I cannot lift heavy things due to surgeries/disability, like bail hay, move piles of stall-muck, or snow removal, but I work smarter, not harder. Safety of your home and animals are the first thing on my mind and i follow instructions to the T. I would like to meet you at your home before you leave to make sure I have the key, understand things clearly, and I'm doing everything right, and I charge a small fee of $10 to cover gas. This way you can also meet me in person and exchange emergency numbers and write down the specific tasks with me. However, if you are in the hospital, I can visit in the local area of Franklin or Sylva for free, or coordinate with peer supports/family/friends with a letter of permission and get the key and talk to you on the phone. I've been in this position, and I'm open to bartering in this regard, and will offer as low cost options as I can in crisis situations. Outside of animal care, I can collect your mail, and I'll protect and respect your privacy. Light trash is ok. I'll make sure pipes don't burst and the heat works, that your bonsai tree stays healthy, and leave a light on. Once I'm done with the agreed routine, I lock up house and go home. No animals, no problem. I'll work with you if you have to budget, and the closer you live and the minimal the work the cheaper I can charge. We can talk about little errands if needed.
