Who I Am: My name is Elena. I'm searching for a house sitting provider position in Lake Worth, Palm Beaches, Manalapan, Greenacres, and Boynton Beach, Florida. I will be a capable, ethical employee. Flexible scheduling for clients. Services And Training: I am happy to help with property watching, garden and indoor plants maintenance, pet and animal care, including obedience dog training bathing and grooming, except for: American Pit Bull/Staffordshire Terriers, Bandogge, Rottweilers, Doberman Pinschers, Boxers, Cane Corso, Akitas, Caucasian Ovcharkas; cat feeding, grooming and bathing (additional fee - CAT TOILET TRAINING upon request), cleaning and maintaining fresh water fish tanks, grocery errands, personal assistance and organizing. My family used to interview and hire house/pet/garden sitters for our model homes in Dana Point, CA, Laguna Niguel, Ca, and Littleton, MA where we lived in the past. We lived in Deerfield, FL since 2010 and moved to Lake Worth a year ago. We live in the gated community of Emerald Vista. Since 1990 my husband and myself owned and trained a Champion White German Shepherd, Akita Inu, a Service Dog (German Shepherd) who accompanied us on board of Air France to France, Belgium, Holland and Montréal, and our new family member Zeus, a beautiful, gentle and super intelligent 125-pound Newfoundland. I taught Zeus how to swim out in the swimming pool and tug me back "to shore" on a boogy board and while on my back by my wrist. (Newfoundlands are number one water-dogs that are used in France and Italy as Water Rescue dogs.) When we lived in Deerfield, I started caring for and maintaining our pool myself - our Newfie would go for a swim once a day - so lots of hair removal from the filter as well as balancing the pool. We used to have four pedigree cats: two chocolate-point Siamese sisters, a Himalayan, and a rare Turkish Van Swimming Cat Aruba that we rescued from Aruba. We're down to one cat now - Aruba. I have toilet trained all my cats and wrote several articles on how to toilet train cats that were published in "Vantasia" magazine in the UK. I have owned (planted, maintained and cared for ) a magnificent (90 varieties) rose garden in Laguna Niguel, Ca, as well shoveled snow in Massachusetts. I was an active member of the Garden Society of Orange County, CA . My climbing heirloom Queen Elizabeth participated in the rose show of 1999 in Laguna Hills,CA in the category "Three stages of the rose bloom." Lastly, I'm a certified teacher K-12 in the commonwealth of Massachusetts and have two Master's degrees: Master's in English/ESL and French. Between 2006 and 2017 I taught at Fitchburg High School (French), Tufts University (ESL) and Inlingua Language School (Fort, Lauderdale, and Boca Raton) as well as tutored children and adults, including online virtual school and my own courses on SKYPE. I am available for tutoring in Reading (using Nita Weiss', PhD, 8-weeks program READ RIGHT AWAY , Elementary Math, Science, College admissions Test prep: SAT English/French, essays and TOEFL iBT, SAT (English/French). I'm a hard worker and am athletic: an Ashtanga yoga practitioner, roller-blades, runner, ocean swimmer, skier (cross-country and downhill), figure skater.
