House Sitter Job in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

House/cat sitting available from May 8, 2019-August 10, 2022 (dates flexible). Located in Bloomfield, walking distance to U Pitt and Carnegie Mellon campuses, directly overlooking Friendship Park. On bus-line to downtown Pittsburgh and Oakland. Bikes available for use. Three story house with beautiful garden, porch, and private suite for house-sitters. Ideal for one person or a couple, but families with small children may also be comfortably accommodated and will be considered. We will be leaving our large, comfortable house to visit family and conduct research in Europe for much of the summer. We need someone to look after the house and our two indoor cats: Jason (Iasonas – he is from Greece), who stays indoors, and Penelope who is a healthy retiree. We are looking for a responsible, cat-experienced couple, family, individual, or if need be small group. The house would be perfect for: visiting faculty or instructors; graduate students looking for a place to write and work over the summer; people coming to Pittsburgh for internships; students of summer courses.
