House Sitter Job in State College, Pennsylvania

Update December 2023: I am seeking a super-reliable, kind and trustworthy cat sitter living in or near State College, Pennsylvania, or nearby. I live in my own home on the northeast side of State College - near Sam’s Club and just off Benner Pike and I-99, easily accessible by car and CATABUS. I have four awesome and friendly feline children ages 7-9 — 2 boys and 2 girls. They are exclusively indoor cats. For various upcoming travel plans, including possibly the New Year’s time frame, I hope to hire a kind person with availability and experience caring for cats. While twice-daily drop-ins historically were “OK,” I now want to find someone who can spend more time to play, brush, etc., in addition to feeding wet and dry food and doing litter box cleaning at least twice a day. One of my boys is now on a special UTI diet, so now all 4 get to enjoy it! Wet food is essential because the one boy won’t eat dry food and getting him to drink water is … well, challenging, I work from home / fully remotely (except for occasional travel), so the kids are very accustomed to having dad home. These are not “aloof” cats. So, leaving them alone for any period of time with only sporadic drop-ins seems cruel. So, I’m ideally seeking more than brief drop-ins - maybe an hour in the morning and another hour in the early evening, open for discussion. Alternatively, shorter visits (30 minutes) in morning, early anfternoon and evening would be great, too. Hiring a great person who “works out great” will lead to ongoing opportunities and ease my anxious mind. It’s worth the $ (negotiable) to ensure my kids are happy and cared for. The ideal person would have house sit and cared for cats multiple times with and have stellar references, but this is not required to apply.
