I just moved to Santa Monica to near closer to my daughter from Colorado and love meeting new people. I work virtually for a non-profit called True-Connection..... which is piloting social emotional learning and emotional intelligence curriculum for high school students. I'm extremely quiet and like to leave the home I'm taking care of better than when I left, or at least like you just cleaned it. Your neighbors will appreciate me if you want them too or, they will never know I there or where you are, if you prefer. House sitting has been a way for me to explore the LA area so I can decide where I want to live permanently. I've been house sitting for the past 5 months in Santa Monica, Torrance, Redondo Beach and Venice.
