House Sitter in Balch Springs, Texas

Nice to meet you! My name is Shatina. A little bit about me, I'm a sweet, kind, gentle, well rounded, rational individual. I'm a city girl. Originally from Staten Island, NY. I left when I was 16. I grew up in the projects, got pregnant with my first child at a young age, but I'm a fighter. I didn't want to become a statistic, so I began working. My first few jobs were a summer youth counselor. I obtained a workers permit at age 14 and worked a summer job, while trying to maintain steady grades to finish high school for two years. It was hard work. It was easy but hard when your a kid, with a kid, with NO summer break. And her father denied her. So I was a single teen parent. But I never gave up. Thank God for NYC workers permits. I tutored some kids. I took them on field trips. I taught a few how to swim, ride a bike as well as rollerskate. All the while helping my own family members and friends with their homes, pets and kids. I was always the oldest or next to the oldest. So, I was called on quite a bit. But I didn't mind. I looked at it like "Hands On Training" for the future. All the kids in my family can swim because of me. Im still teaching some family till this day how to swim and skate. But, High School, it was taking to long for me. And again, I refused to be a statistic. So I got outta there and did what I had to do provide for my child. I was old enough to sign up for Job Corp so I went immediately after I turned 16. After the Holidays, I was gone. And I'm glad I did. I'm also a military brat. I've been to quite a few places. Up and down the east coast. A few states here in the mid west. I lived in Kansas as a child. I've lived in Florida for 20 years before I came back here to Texas. This is my second time here. I've lived in Maryland, as well as Pennsylvania, while I attended the job corps I graduated from. I was the president of my dorm. I graduated with honors, a Floor Covering Certification, Warehousing Certification, as well as a Forklift License on November 18, 1992. I then moved here to Texas where my father resided, and went on to college for Business Management. I was intending to open my own Floor Covering business. Now I'm working at Kroger's bakery & Sam's Club while attending college. I threw my back out again after only being at both jobs about 7 months. My doctor said that was it. I was 23 deemed permanently disabled. Now I have nothing but time on my hands. So every time someone needed a house sitter, a pet sitter, or babysitter, I was always available. That's when I started traveling a little more. Doing it for friends and family where ever I was, whenever I was available. I've taken road trips to places like to and from Georgia to New York, coming from Florida to New York. Texas to Maryland when my dad got orders to go back up North. I've traveled via cruise ship to places like Belize, Roatan Honduras, Cozumel Mexico just for my birthday. Lovely gift from my father. I'd say I'm well traveled. I now reside in Balch Springs. And I'm so ready to expand and do more for people. Help more. I'm very helpful, funny, loving, caring person. Im also trust worthy. I was raised to treat people the way I wanna be treated. And I've been noticing, over the years, people no longer work positions that they love, for the passion anymore. Its all about the paycheck. That's not me. But if I can get paid in the process of doing something I love, well that's just Heaven. And Jesus is raining blessings in me because he feels I deserve it. I will be blessed regardless. Now I know my experience is mostly with friends and family. When they went on vacation or out of town for business. But I was the one they called since I was 14 yrs old. My goal is to expand my horizon. I love meeting new people. I love to put smiles on everyone's faces. This is something I am passionate about. I feel like its definitely time to take it to the next level. I have many years of experience minding pets as well as children as I said before. Over 30. I'm also happy to say that I'm the proud owner a gorgeous 2 yr old Pomeranian named Foxx, and just the cutest little 1 yr old Guinea Pig you've ever see. His name is Saaige. As you can see in the pictures. I just love my babies. I spoil them rotten. Im even happier to say, I also raised two wonderful children, despite the fact that I was a teen mom. I beat the odds, by the Grace of God. They are young adults now. My daughter is 29 with 3 Computer degrees. She graduated from phlebotomy school before she graduated High School. Then used her phlebotomy career to put herself through computer school. She is now a Full time Data Analyst for a prestigious Healthcare Solutions company.m here in Texas. She's my Corporate girl. She's also married, with a four kids, blended family. One 10 yr old biological son, two stepdaughters and a stepson. 4, 8, and 12 ur olds. The little boy is the middle child. They can be a hand full. :) Now, my son, he is a 26 yr old truck driver, with no children. My kids turned out great. Thank you Lord. So, I am legally disabled. Like I said, I was born with scoliosis which prevents me from holding down a traditional position in my career field, since the wrecks and stuff. But it does not prevent me from driving, taking care of a home or pets. I love pets and I love helping others. Being my own boss makes it that much more rewarding. I can provide light cleaning services if necessary. If you ask me to do it, I will at least try. I'm prompt and pretty flexible if you give me ample notice. When Im not house sitting, I drive for Uber and Lyft. I Really love helping people. Oh I have no criminal record. I couldn't be an Uber or Lyft driver if I did. I guess that's my life story.
