Hello, Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. Let me tell you a little about myself. My name is Debbie and I am 56 years young. I have been caring for people, animals, homes, and everything that goes along with them for most of my adult life. I started off when I was still in junior high school with babysitting which lead to my first housesitting job when I was in high school. I was thrilled and honored to be given such a huge responsibility! To be paid for my services was what made the whole experience even more rewarding. Word of mouth kept me able to earn extra income for many years thereafter. In my early 30's a friend of mine needed someone to care for his wife who was very ill. That was the start of my caring for the ill and elderly. Since taking that first assignment I have helped many families to care for their loved ones. Either part-time or as a live-in caregiver. I am experienced in all aspects of care for the elderly. Including managing medications, toileting, bathing, dressing and cooking for my clients. Caring for their homes, yards, and pets has also been part of my responsibilities. I have provided transportation to appointments and outings. In addition, I have been trusted to do my clients banking on their behalf as well as shopping for their needs. I have truly enjoyed working with each of my clients over the years. I believe that I have enriched their last years and given them great care without taking away their dignity. I feel that helping a senior to stay in their own home for as long as possible is so important. Keeping my clients comfortable and surrounded by familiar things is such a valuable gift that I am happy to provide for them. It is a very rewarding way to make a living. I have met so many interesting people over the years. All of them becoming cherished friends of mine.
