Monitoring the processing and planning en route flight paths, tracking aircraft movement amongst immediate airspace and adjacent facilities while receiving telephone calls regarding flight schedule precedence, and the sudden prioritizing of duties with the occasional emergency is a task Flight Planning Supervisors welcome daily. Shuffling between the logistics of operational administration services, and control assistance to pilots, Air Traffic Controllers seize a stressful environment, and organize a means of transportation statistically safer than driving a vehicle.
