House Sitter in Oakville, Ontario

Hello! My name is Stephanie, and my partner Brendan and I are a kind, caring, mature and responsible house-sitters looking to take excellent care of your home and pets in the Vancouver area this fall/winter. It would be our pleasure to connect with you, provide you with a worry-free vacation, and to experience life in the area. I am originally from Ontario, but moved to BC (Whistler) in 2013, where I lived and worked for the resort, until moving to Australia in 2016. I have recently returned to Canada and am looking to return to the Vancouver area this fall. Brendan will be moving here from Australia to join me at the end of September, and we're interested in finding a house-sitting arrangement as it would offer the perfect opportunity for us to get to know the area from a temporary home base while we work towards building a life there for ourselves. We are both total animal lovers with lots of experience having dogs and cats (and myself, horses), and have prior pet/house-sitting experience. I am also currently working at an independent pet store/dog groomer's. We're mature and responsible people who spend a lot of time together at home, are clean and careful, and look forward to exploring the surrounding nature. We would be happy to connect with the local community, and once there are hoping to begin looking for work in the Vancouver area. I'm 26 years old, with a bachelor's degree from Queen's University, a work background in hospitality/events management and in the environmental nonprofit sector, and enjoy hiking, skiing, reading, and vegetarian cooking. Brendan is 29, and from Melbourne, Australia, where he works as a professional cabinet maker. As a tradesman, he's very handy around the house! I am currently visiting family in Ontario, but am happy to provide police checks, references, etc. and/or arrange a Skype meeting.
