House Sitter in Norman, Oklahoma

Hello, I am hoping we can provide each other some mutual assistance. I am finishing a dissertation this fall (fall 2017) and planning a defense for early spring 2018. I am looking for a quiet place to work and sleep as I am separating from my husband of 25 years and my children are all young adults. I find it difficult to be in the home with my husband during this separation period and trying to sell our home and divide assets at this critical juncture in my research would be too disruptive. I am available to house sit immediately in the Norman-Noble-Moore-OKC metro area. I need to stay close to Norman to assist my mother with some of her doctor's appointments and to be in regular contact with my 17 year-old daughter who still lives at home. In short, I have cared for a home for 25 years, raised children and cared for a variety of pets (freshwater aquatic fish, dogs, cats, hamsters, birds, even a flying squirrel at one time), and am a quiet non drinker and non smoker. I am not even thinking about socializing, only reading and writing for the next several months. I will keep your home neat, your belongings and pet safe and cared for while you are away. I am hoping for longer term positions, but even those lasting a few days are beneficial at this juncture. I am reliable, and I am honest. As an undergraduate, I worked as a part-time nanny for private families, cooking, cleaning, and taking care of children. I also ran my own in-home daycare while working on my masters degree. I taught kindergarten at a Catholic school, public school for two years, and have been involved as a teacher and curriculum coordinator for RE programs for over 10 years.
