House Sitter in Laurel Hill, North Carolina

I am a divorced African American full-figured single mother of three children. Ages 10,18, and 22. Retired 21yrs of service with the North Carolina Dept of Corrections. I have lived in North Carolina all of my life and my roots are old school and traditional country living. I like to think of myself as a independent but resourceful and competent individual. I live my life simple but honest. I know that whether I wanted to or not, I am a role model for my children. I try to instill in them the same values that I hold dear to my heart that my family and community raised me with. Which are; Honesty, Respect, Compassion, Dedication, and most important "Faith". These are some of my core values. In my day as a child , my siblings, relatives and friends were raised by our community, ( neighbors, local store owners, teachers, pastors, relatives and even parents employers) It took a village to raise a child. These people in my community corrected us when they observed us when we we're wrong and also praised us when we did good. Respectfuly, we would listen and embrace the consequences whatever they would be, good or bad. We would take it in and give them the respect not to talk back or interrupt while they (our elders) spoke. Also, knowing that not only our parents would know by the time we arrived home but just about the world would know (LOL). Back then people were more trusting and cared about their neighbors . Even though we lived in separate homes and had our own families, we shared holidays, cookouts, celebrations, and many other things. I graduated High School in Laurinburg NC, I attended College at Livingstone College in Salisbury NC with a major in Social Work. I recieved a 2yr Associates Degree in Human Services Technology @ RCC Rockingham NC. I have certifications in: CNA l and ll , Unarmed Self-Defense, Tactical Restraint, Firearms, CPR, Substance Abuse Counselor, Child Endangerment Adversary, and Mental Health Counselor thru RCC in Lumberton NC. I'm here seeking employment in order to help my family and myself. Extra income is necessary in order to help my oldest daughter who will be graduating college Spr 2018 with a Biology Degree and will be entering medical school @ The University of South Carolina Aiken / Campus. My son will be graduating High School June 2018 and going off to college in August 2018. Those of you who have gone through this or know someone who has understands that extra money is definitely needed.
