House Sitter in La Jolla, California

I'm an
Individual
I am a retired fortune 500 business executive, reloacting to San Diego from Ohio in March 2015. I can handle almost any type of housing issue (have owned 9 homes) and will care for pets (grew up as a farm boy in the midwest). I am in good health, a recent widower and am downsizing and moving west to be nearer my children. I am currently building a new home in the Mission Beach area and need a place to live and occupy myself while this construction is going on. My professional experience is quite extensive and is outlined below, but what you should know is that I am reliable, conscientious and capable. I will provide references upon request. If you have a nice home and need a responsible person to care for it, with or without pets, for an extended period, then we should talk. I can make myself available to interview in San Diego, if necessary. A brief bio is provided below. Don was born and raised in rural Ohio. His early inspiration was to fly which he began at age 16, and he is still an active pilot and aircraft owner. He holds degrees in Aeronautics/Mathematics from Miami University and an MS degree in Computer Science from Georgia Tech. Don then joined industry in middle management and developed early computer image recognition systems for Honeywell in Minneapolis, holding various engineering and business management positions and ending as a Honeywell Vice President and Business Director. Don was one of the co-founders and the initial corporate strategist of Alliant Techsystems (NYSE:ATK), a spinout of Honeywell Aerospace, which became a fortune 500 company, today doing business in various defense related markets. He was most recently a Corporate VP of Motorola, doing strategy and international business development for their Networks Business Group, and he retired from Motorola in 2005. RecentlyDon lived in Troy, Ohio, and devoted his time to various non-profits, charities and educational institutions.
