House Sitter Job in Arco, Idaho

I'm an
Individual
We have a menagerie of critters that we would need tended while we visit family that live in different time zones. We have 2 donkeys, 2 goats, geese,3 large dogs and a couple cats. Our town is very small and there are no fast food restaurants for over an hour away. There is a local grocery store that has enough to sustain life. We are starting some raised beds and planting trees that will need to be watched over. We have beehives that will need to make sure are safe and secure as well as water available in designated watering holes. This does not mean you will need to actually handle the bees, just look over at the hives to make sure the wind or wild animal has not knocked them over and the water will be put in a watering system close by. We are also in the slow agonizing process of remodeling. This means that our house is not the nicest it could be... but oddly enough, it is better than it was when we moved in. We have no planned trips at this moment. We are jut putting out our 'feelers' to see what our options are and what it will cost us. Please let me know if you are available last minute or what time frame you need to plan to farm sit our place. We live on 10 acres, we live behind a cemetery and that can be intimidating to some but so far, no zombie apocalypse here. Depending on the time of year will depend on what is needing done. We have an old 4 wheeler with a snow plow but it can only push so much... so winter may require pushing snow, may require breaking water in the troughs, may require scooping poop and snow, may require pulling snow off rooftops and so on... warmer weather will require (if water rights are 'on') to climb a steep canal bank to turn on the irrigation pump and then back up again to turn the darn thing off, keeping fuel in the generator to run the pump and possible maintenance on the generator depending on the hours ran, scoopin poop, keeping the water fresh for the critters, checking fencing, watering garden, pullin weeds or eatin em (I love dandelions!) lawn maintenance, making sure all the irrigation lines are working and a number of other items needed done in warmer weather around a small hobby farm... We practice mostly organic methods on our farm and working towards creating a Permaculture environment that is self sustaining and easier on our water limits. We learning new and improved ways that seem to really be the old and forgotten ways... you may need to harvest our garden and preserve it via water bath, pressure canner, sun dehydrating and/or fermenting. Our critters currently (Dec. 2017) are mostly our pets, except the geese they are food... we believe in kind treatment of all of our animals and that means they need to be spoken to kindly and lovingly every day when you are tending to their needs YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH LIVESTOCK! YOU MUST BE DRUG FREE, THIS INCLUDES NO OPIOID USE! Sorry, I do not care if the doc prescribed them... NOPE... I have multiple health issues that would warrant me taking opioids but I refuse for so many reasons.
