My mother spent the last three years of her life with my husband and me, requiring 24/7 care. She had Dementia and in the Summer of 2017, was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer. We have our own real estate business and often meet with clients during the day, evening and weekends. We had the privilege of having Alice Ledlow as a caregiver for my mom since January of 2017. Alice always came prepared and upbeat for every shift that she covered. She was willing to stay longer or even split it up during any given day that my schedule required me to make that request of her. When I needed her services, even on an off day, she was often able to accommodate my request. She was efficient in notifying me in advance (and trading shifts with another caregiver), if she had a schedule conflict before I needed to make out the monthly calendar schedule. Alice is conscientious, efficient, friendly, articulate, always willing to do whatever is requested, and follows every guideline that was in place through my mother’s hospice home care program. She assisted with bathing, dressing, meal preparation, administering medications, activities (exercise, board games), dental care, and diligently attended to the very important role of a regular routine. She was also responsible at times to drive my mom to places when needed and covered overnight when necessary. I cannot say enough good things about the care and friendship that my mother received from Alice. We are sad that Mama passed on February 22, 2018. Alice has been and will continue to be a cherished friend, and someone I highly recommend to you as a caring, loving and take charge caregiver.
