House Sitter in Jackson, Wyoming

Hello I bring to you over 24 months of high integrity care-taking, maintenance, and property management at properties ranging from $4650k to over $4 million. I grew up in Idaho Falls just over Teton Pass, so I am very familiar with Jackson and the surrounding area. I am looking for house-sitting and care-taking opportunities here in the Jackson valley indefinitely. I prefer longer term, but short term as little as a month will work, or if it is weekly, then we can discuss that also. In other words, dates are flexible. I currently work at Apex Property Management & Real Estate in Jackson, WY: With a portfolio consisting of over 120 privately owned properties, Apex is definitely a leader in the property management business in Jackson. Approximately 30% of Apex properties are VRBO listings, the rest is caretaking only various sized estates and properties from 1700 to 10,000 square feet, Teton Village townhomes to sprawling multi-acre homesteads near the Snake river. At Apex I work often independently and/or as part of a cohesive team doing essentially every property management task you can think of: *Shuttling private vehicles to and from the airport: washing, fueling as needed. *Arranging and taking private vehicles in for scheduled maintenance, detailing, etc. *Changing light bulbs of all sorts indoor/outdoor, troubleshooting lighting systems. Weekly house checks on all of our long term properties. *Various hi-tech alarm systems troubleshooting and maintenance. *Snow removal: shoveling and snow blowing, ice melt, roofs, sidewalks, patios, etc. *Construction/project management: directives, supplies procurement, and more. *Short term rental flips: linen retrieval, set up beds for additional professional cleaning service. *Electrical/plumbing troubleshooting and repair plus any and all HVAC work *Meeting various vendors (plumbing, electrical, cable, etc) & directing according to homeowner needs, budgets, and more. *Occasional grocery shopping, errands, travel logistics, local guidance as needed. *Deck furniture setup and seasonal storage. Seasonal/winterizing of water features. *Pest control: Live traps to glue traps, insects to rodents. *Essential hot tub troubleshooting, various cleaning and maintenance as needed. *And much more: Every day is different, each of our properties has its own unique flavor, systems, challenges, and attributes. I thrive on the working with the unexpected, all while being exceptionally mindful about security and discretion. This is of critical importance and is taken very seriously by our team. I also work part time in the summers as a professional tour guide, interpreter, and naturalist for Grizzly Country Wildlife Adventures , taking over 1200 people in the last 8 years on over 300 trips into Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. This requires exceptional communication skills mixed in with deep humility and appreciation for the natural world and the place that humans and critters have in it. Previous to that, I was seasonally employed as the senior bartender, hiking guide, airport and guest transportation, photographer, ranch hand and more, at Brooks Lake Lodge, a higher end luxury guest ranch on Togwotee Pass not far from Moran Junction and Dubois for 5 seasons total: 3 winter, 2 summer. I offer you my substantial Jack of many trades background that includes: 12 seasons of construction including solar installation and senior tile technician 3 years of fast paced customer service as a Whole Foods Market supervisor 3 years of professional bartending at a Wine Spectator Award Winning wine bar in Crested Butte, CO 5 seasons as a highly trained wild-land firefighter in ID, WY, AZ, CA, and other western states where I worked on USFS trail crews doing erosion control, brush clearing, rock work, signage, etc I have worked on fishing boats and canneries in Alaska & bartended at a luxury heli ski operation up there I have been a ski instructor and mtn guide: various ski areas in CO, and here in Jackson, WY Piano player at weddings and other functions (very occasional) sous-chef at a rustic luxury lodge 3 year co-homeowner with all the expected/unexpected challenges and duties. Performed various lawn care, watering, installation of a hot tub structure and flagstone patios, put in and maintained drip irrigation systems, roof repair, shoveling, gardening, rock work, landscaping, painting, stucco installation, and much more Limite but effective - small engine troubleshooting and repair Adept at learning new equipment such as Bobcats and Kubotas V/arious types fence install and repair: barb wire, buck & rail, chain link & others Trained as a chainsaw 'swamper' on Hotshot Fire crews. Can use chainsaws in a variety of arboreal duties First Aid trained and 2013 CPR certified as well. 230 additional hours of outdoor related medical training: WFR and OEC (National Ski Patrol specific) 220 hours of professional massage training And a good deal more...just ask! I have good references, good credit, and a background check is also fine with me. I have a current clear WY drivers license and own a registered and insured reliable 2012 Ram 1500 4wd truck, and will pass any and al background checks. You name it, if its associated with a home, I have likely done it Or I can just keep your treasured and valuable home clean, secure and safe! My Relevant care-taking experiences: House-sat a multi-million dollar 6000 sq foot on the market house in Boulder CO, for 7 months from 2010 into early 2011. I took care of various yard work, shoveling, cleaning, landscaping,minor construction and maintenance issues, and I met and directed a few weekly vendors in the house to keep it in sparkling marketable condition at all times. I took care of the staged furniture, alerted the owners to any possible problems and whatever else was needed, promptly and professionally.. Previous to that I pet and house sat on an 80 acre ranch north of Boulder, CO with 2 dogs as my daily proteges; we hiked, skied, and played all over the property when possible, and I fed them daily. I shoveled snow, maintained the hot tub, cleaned up after the dogs, and much more. This was a 3-4 month winter gig while the owner was in Mexico. I also house-sat for 9 months at a 3500 sq foot home in the mountains near Boulder, CO, for the homeowners while they were in Brazil. I took care of plants, snow removal, cleaning, bills, mail, and beyond.
