House Sitter in Chapel Hill, North Carolina

Hello - Looking for someone who can handle almost anything? I'm an experienced House and PetSitter seeking opportunities in Chapel Hill where my 3 delightful 'pets' (Grandchildren) reside. As a child II was raised on a ranch where literally thousands of animals relied on me. As an adult, I moved all around the mid-west for work.. I've experienced diverse home-ownership challenges in MO,, MN, CO, IL MD, FL, IN, TN, & AZ where I currently reside, and, soon, NC where I plan to build a home to be closer to family. You might have guessed, I enjoy travel! My father was a builder, so I'm familiar with minor maintenance requirements and am not easily intimidated by domestic challenges. I'm a former interior designer, with a great appreciation what home means to people, Last year in Chapel Hill I house/pet sat for clients whose propert was on the market, keeping it perfect for potential showings at a moment's notice. A contract was presented and signed during my stay, Yay! At Mid-life I re-tooled and became a social worker, from which I recently retired My new career came about because friends in AZ asked me to " keep an eye" on their homes while they were traveling. After several stays in the same community the Gatekeeper identified me as, "The Housesitter"...When I demurred he said, "You have no idea how often we're asked to make recommendations for reliable housesitting services....We know everyone you're sitting for, they're great people, recommendation enough....Get us a business card so we can share your info." And so it was,Shortly after I had a chance meeting on an airplane with the Concierge of a resort property in Tucson, who asked for my card, and had me take care of her two dogs. She recommended me to....you get the picture... Paula's next Great Adventure began 4 years ago. It has been a privilege to be allowed to stay in other's homes. References available on request .
