Mature, responsible professional man offers house sitting and pet sitting in the Washington DC metro area (VA, DC, or MD). I will treat your pets and home as my own and will check in with you, per your requests, so you will have peace of mind while you are gone. For fun, if you would like to see and communicate with your pets, we could even do a video call using resources, such as Skype, Google Hangouts, or Apple FaceTime by phone, tablet, or PC. For weekly house sitting, we would agree upon a daily rate based on the tasks performed. For live in house sitting for two months or more, you would be responsible for the following costs: utility, food/medical for any pets, and any snow removal or maintenance repair in exchange for my care of your home and any pets. We would agree upon any procedures, notifications, and approval requirements. I am very detailed oriented, security conscious, and organized. I would go through a list of household tasks to make sure I followed your instructions and met or exceeded your expectations. I am happy to offer excellent references. Typical household tasks include: -Collect all flyers from front steps; Bring in mail -Run all water faucets, showers/baths and flush all toilets to prevent any pipe freezing -Monitor HVAC systems/hot water tank -Check security systems for alarm/battery messages -Care for indoor plants Other tasks could include: -Accept deliveries; Answer any phone calls -Supervise housekeepers, garden/ yard maintenance or any other scheduled service -Take vehicles for maintenance & service appointments (you are responsible for any costs) -Arrange for snow removal Pet care would include: -Morning and night dog walks, or you set their schedule -Feed and play with your pets -Give any medicines and to your pets -Clean litter boxes for cats and cages for birds, hamsters and other small pets -Feed birds, fish, etc. Please contact me by phone to discuss your needs.
