Originally from the United States and having worked in various landscapes and climate from early on, I have been caring for homes and pets full-time since 2010. Raised in a farm family in the Berkshire Mountains of Western Massachusetts, I began looking after animals by age nine and was employed by a local inn at age 12. Starting our family early afforded us the energy to keep up with three little ones and, today, offers us the time to see the world while we're still young! Always having had a passion for travel, I began my adventures right out of high school with a three month trek across the country, "just to see what's over there." Upon my return to the Northeast, I enlisted in the Army with the intent of gaining more travel experience. After completion of my service, I went to work selling timeshare and lived vicariously through those who traveled through me..... my family is available to come along, you'll have a well-rounded team of seasoned animal and home carers handling your every need. After college, my husband, Jason, found himself working as a carpenter, building luxury homes and additions throughout Coastal New England. In 2007, we relocated our family to sunny South Florida where we changed gears. As Operations Manager for an international restoration company, he fine-tuned his skills to include repair and reconstruction for wind, water, mold and fire damage. I was determined to stay available to our children and remained dedicated through volunteering at their school and church programs. At home, daily, with our two dogs, GoGo and Jack, I saw that I had time and we had the space, so I opened our door to orphaned pets and, soon after, the locals came to know us as the dog people! Friends and even perfect strangers have asked us to care for their pets while they entertained in their homes, after medical procedures, or if they went on vacation where animals weren't welcome. Our children are Ethyn, 17, and Noah, 13. The boys have formed such unique relationships with many of our guests over the years and, because it's so clear to their pet parents how much Ethyn cares for these pups, he has even landed a few dog walking jobs! Lifelong pet owners, having satisfied dozens of reservations with several repeat requests, I'm experienced in administering meds (Subq and oral), pre-op and post-op pets, and visits with the vet. Pet care has been provided in our home as well as at clients' homes while laundry, dishes, mail, trash, lights, pool duties, plants & yard, and routine household maintenance & upkeep are tended to during the assignment. Never a fee for house or pet sitting outside of Florida; we, as members of the Sharing Economy, graciously accept payment in the form of free exchange and new travel experiences. You'll find comfort in bringing into your home and to your pets, my household management and administrative skills, as well as my previous military police work and Jason's working knowledge of restoration and construction, along with our passion for animals, their safety and contentment. We're completely transparent and quite efficient in communicating with the homeowner and, because my clients open not only their doors but also their lives to me, privacy is top priority.
