Hello, My name is Joe. I'm a mid-50s homeowner and single father of two adopted sons. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and offer contract writing services for tech companies, government agencies, nonprofits, etc. My line of work means that I can work from home and live pretty much anywhere. Now that my kids are grown and out of the house, I am taking advantage of the situation to live and work elsewhere in the country. House sitting seems like a natural fit. As a homeowner of 15 years, I can offer a level of responsibility that only someone who shares the experience of home ownership can provide. I will treat your home as my own, keeping it clean and well-maintained. As a more "mature" house sitter, my lifestyle revolves around books, coffee, and walks. So you can trust your house is in low-key hands. And because I work from home, I can be available for anything that might come up: package deliveries, maintenance people coming in, etc. You'll have someone looking after your place around the clock. One caveat: I'm not much of a pet person, so looking after cats or dogs is probably outside my skill set. Anything small and contained along the lines of fish would be fine. On the other hand, I have many and am great with indoor and outdoor plants. I can offer personal references and am happy to supply any other information you might need.
