I recently retired from 38 years of military and U.S. Department of Commerce service and have lived overseas since 1989. My wife, who is Brazilian, and I are very responsible and would like a situation where we live in Guest house and care for an entire rural property. We would be very flexible about our responsibilities and we would DELIVER on whatever we agreed to to. If and when we take vacations, we would hire a professional caretaker to look in on the place and care for it during our absence. I think that we would be a god sent for an owner that has a property here but only lives here 3 or 4 months a year. We would clean pool, maintain the grounds and guard against pack rats and other vermin and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the property and house. Some painting and carpentry would be possible as well as some grounds keeping to make the property more functional. Whatever activity we engage in would be pre-approved by the owner.
