House Sitter in Sebastopol, California

My husband and I are here in California for six months to a year having traded homes with someone in Sonoma County. She got the better deal--our gorgeous home on 1/2 acre in Kauai. We're cramped in her cluttered place and our poor standard poodle misses his cat and dog friends. We'd love to care for your beloved pets and your home while you're away. As homeowners ourselves, we chose to trade homes rather than rent our house out because we understand how important it is to have the right, respectful mature people staying in one's sacred space. We would give your home the respect and care it deserves. And, as over-the-top pet lovers ourselves, we'd welcome your pets into our family while you're gone. Our dog, Kai, may be the friendliest creature on the planet, and he's lived peacefully with cats for most of his life. WE are an older couple in our 60s, both writers although my husband has a day job with Kaiser Permanente, which is what brings us to California for the duration. We run the Kauai Writers Conference, and I have family in the area. We're quiet, peaceful, non-smoking, creative and friendly types.
