House Sitter in Malibu, California

I have been working in the Malibu Canyon area for a year and a half commuting back and forth from South Orange County, CA. I am looking for a more permanent living situation near my office and thought about a house sitting arrangement where I can help out around the house and property. A small private guest house would be ideal or a private room and bathroom with access to a kitchen. I am in my mid 40's and am very clean, quiet and respectful. I will hopefully be working on this project for another 7-8 years and just for the sake of my sanity, I would like to live up here permanently and forgo the horrific 3 hour commute each way. I have taken care of clients and friends houses over the years, watched pets and children and have many referrals from over the past 20 years. For my profession, I design homes. For my passion, I love the outdoors and anything that involves art. I grew up in Northern California, Mendocino and Sonoma County. My family is half Dutch and most all of my family members live in The Netherlands. I went to University in Lausanne Switzerland, speak some French still and came back to California to finish my Architecture Degree at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. I have been working for various Architecture firms around California for the past 24 years while starting my own firm in 2003. I have a wonderful job opportunity here in Malibu Canyon and feel that it is time to make the move more permanent. Please call me with any additional questions you may have.
