Hi my name is Heather Ludwig, I am a 45 year old former property manager. I am moving from the property management field into the house and pet sitting business. My 25 years of property management gives me unique experiences that most house sitters do not have. I am experienced with all sorts of properties; condos, duplexes, small homes large multi million dollar homes. I have maintenance experience and a vast understanding of the electrical, heating, plumbing and other systems in a home. I also take care of pets dogs (large breed and small) cats, lizards and snakes and even birds. I am actively involved in volunteering with the SPCA and other animal shelters. I deal with dogs mostly but also enjoy cat cuddling and helping out with cleaning and feeding. Here are some of the duties I can perform: • Perform light cleaning and maintenance activities such as sweeping and mopping and changing bulbs • Handle light grounds keeping duties including mowing and watering, snow shoveling • Tend to indoor plants by watering them upon instructions provided and moving them in and out of sunlight • Occupy houses while owners are away and handle the general maintenance and upkeep of the interior and exterior • Pay utility bills and oversee any maintenance or repair work being done on the property • Answer telephones and doorbells and provide information asked for, keeping in mind the confidentiality agreement with owners • File incoming mail and ensure that any instructions for mail forwarding is followed • Feed, water. walk and bathe house pets and take them to the vet if they have appointments for vaccinations as per instructed • Inspect the house several times to ensure that no intrusion is possible or evident (if not living on site) • Ascertain that the house is properly locked down at the end of the day • Set up and monitor security systems and alarms and inform authorities at any sign of intrusion I am willing to live on site if necessary, willing to do long and short term stays.
