Whether they accompany us on a walk, greet us when we get home, or snuggle up next to us and watch movies, dogs are there – day in and day out – to be our best friends. They're more than just companions: they're family! I’ve always thrived in any environment that places great emphasis on the little details. I sincerely enjoy helping people, and it’s a joy to enable owners to relax while I take care of their furry best friends. I’m a team player – always willing to help someone out – and relish an active environment. After six years of working full-time for Disney, I’m back in school to pursue a career in psychology. My class schedule gives me lots of flexibility and time to devote to caring for pups! I am fun-loving, eager to learn, and outgoing, so spending time with dogs is endlessly rewarding for me. Walking a dog is my favorite part of the day! I love, love, love to get my exercise. I enjoy hiking, walks on the beach, exploring local neighborhoods, and walking around outdoor malls. My goal is to keep my clients (and their pups!) coming back again and again. In addition to being a pet-sitter and dog-walker, I’ve always enjoyed training dogs. It’s important to me to stay abreast of best practices when it comes to raising and caring for dogs. As a psychology student, I’m fascinated by human and canine psychology; I strive to understand both and implement everything I can. I’m extremely organized, efficient, and a creative problem-solver, and I love being able to work with many different breeds, temperaments, and sizes of dogs. I've spent so much time with the dogs in my neighborhood that I know many of them better than I know my actual neighbors! I have experience with dogs, cats, parrots, and some rodents and reptiles. Dogs are my favorite, but I love all of Earth's creatures and have owned many of them as pets! I can't wait to build a relationship with your dog, too. What I would like to know about your dog: After booking a stay or walk with me, I'd love to meet your pet! I'll make sure to drop by (or meet at a local dog park) at a time convenient for you to meet your pup and discuss his needs and preferences. While meet and greets are not required for walks or drop ins, I do require a meet and greet before any overnight stay. Some of the questions we’ll go over: What is your typical routine? What concerns do you have in regards to training, behavioral habits, and medical issues? Do you have any other pets in need of care? Do you have any preferences about treats/rewards? How much exercise does your dog usually get?
