Hello there, my name is basha* star. I have been house and pet sitting for over 15 years and I so much enjoy taking care of loved ones whether they be animals, plants or the precious sanctuary of home. I am incredibly thoughtful and honoring of others and their space. I am kind and trustworthy and enjoy keeping the space I am in neat and tidy. I understand the importance of security and safety. I am very loving and attentive. I have lived with pets almost all of my life. I am very familiar with providing care for dogs of all energy levels. I think it is important to understand a pet's routine and specificities in training as I realize this will help them feel comfortable and less distressed during the absence of their humans. I am also quite familiar with providing loving care to pets with special needs. This includes administering medication orally or with shots, being careful not to overtax an elderly pet, strictly adhering to diet and food requirements even if this involves food preparation from scratch, and more. I am also very attentive to instruction given for specific needs. I am an avid walker and love to take the fur friends I live with along with me and I love to cuddle and play. I am able to care for and do so love cats, though have some allergies so outdoor cats are a little easier for me particularly if you need overnight stays. That said, there are situations where it is possible for me to care and live with cats as I do so enjoy them. I am also very familiar with taking care of snakes and other reptiles and fish. I love all animals in general and would love to look after pets of all kinds. Some specialty things to note: I have been a wildlife carer for baby kangaroos (joeys) that needed nursing before being reintroduced to the wild. I grew up and have lived with many many dogs throughout my lifetime. I have lived with and loved cats deeply even with my allergies. I have had four different types of snakes as pets. I also am committed and successful in worm farming and keeping happy and fertilizer producing worms. I have taken care of chickens and am familiar with a grain sprouting routine for their feed. I have also tended to pigs and sheep though am less familiar with them than other animals. Due to a back injury that I am recovering from I am not able to lift very heavy items, though this does not limit me from walking and playing with pets or the usual tasks that house sitting requires. I come from a family of green thumbs and while I cannot promise miracles for suffering plants I can confidently assure you of my skills in keeping your healthy plants healthy and happy, both indoor and out. I am familiar with tending a garden and harvesting pants meant for consumption. I am more than happy to take out recycling and trash and collect your mail. I am available for short or long house sits and both sleep overs or drop ins. I am a non-smoker. I am very happy and able to supply you with multiple references if you are interested in having me house/pet sit for you.
