House Sitter in Seattle, Washington

Hi, my name is Sheena, and I'm new to house sitting but pretty excited for it. After having a couple friends ask me to house sit for them while they were away, I realized it was just the thing I needed to liven up my routine and avoid milling shiftlessly about inside all day. Being a person that thrives on new experiences and relies on very few belongings, I've honestly got the ambition of always going directly from one house sitting job to the next. (And it beats struggling with apartment costs any day!) People I interact with (friends, coworkers, authority figures, acquaintances, etc.) typically describe me as polite, open, helpful, and optimistic to the point of naivete. I'm happiest when I can make people happy, am often told I worry too much whenever I cause someone trouble. My upbringing has left me a tad domestically challenged, but I'm sufficiently orderly and resourceful that I can usually figure things out. I expect to be comfortable with the majority of household tasks. Watering plants, collecting mail, feeding pets, and the like take so little time and energy that I hesitate to even call them "chores". I can be a bit inconsistent with sweeping, vacuuming, and dusting, but I can at least make sure it's done before you get back. I've never really had a pet of my own, so I'm not completely sure I know everything about taking care of one, but I'm more than willing to figure it out. (The internet is great for stuff like this.) I'm definitely more of a cat person than a dog person, but I'd be willing to look after dogs so long as they're nice and not too imposing. Even if I'd probably burn out trying to give it all the attention it wants, I can at least make sure it gets walked regularly. Thank you for reading my listing!
