We wish to move to Portland for a year to see if it is "our town", and are looking for a long-term house-sitting position. Our small family consists of a lawyer-wife and commercial fisherman husband, a 6-year-old daughter, and a dog. Husband has remodeled the last two of our homes from baseboard to roof, and is extremely handy. Wife likes things clean and tidy, and loves to garden. Child is a total joy. Dog is clean and quiet--literally has barked five times in seven years. If we sound like your kind of caretakers, please feel free to give a call anytime--p.s. we are in Vermont now, so keep in mind we are 3 hours ahead of you when you call.
