House Sitter in Grand Marais, Minnesota

Starting in 2018 during Jan. - April we are looking for somewhere relatively warm in CA or NM/AZ. Our cabin near Grand Marais MN has been a VRBO rental for years (A frame on the River) but we will winter in our new condo in town proper. Winters are long and cold and so we are hunting for somewhere to escape! We lived for 25 years in Monterey CA where Anne was a Pastor in the UCC. She now does consulting. I owned my own graphic design service and also play pro keyboards with jazz groups. We are very people-oriented, engaged in our community, but also love to travel. We have spent time in Bali, Taiwan,(where our son taught English for 3 years) Nicaragua (where our daughter served in the PC). We lived a number of places on the E. Coast incl. DC when Anne was working there, near her family. I serve on the board of the Grand Marais Music Collaborative, a non-profit group promoting instruction and classes for music creation and fun outside the school system. Grand Marais, for it's small size has a tremendous amount of activities to offer. You might do a search on our little hamlet just for your own interest! Anne and I are recently retired here and are trying to figure that out! How the canoe will fit on top of our Honda CRV, how you cook (we are foodies) on an electric stove, and then run up to the cabin and wash sheets for our next renters!
