• Provide us with the security of knowing our home, birds and pets will be well cared for while we’re away. You can either stay at the house and use the bedroom downstairs with free room and board (i.e. food in the pantry and refrigerator) or if you live in the area, drive over and tend to the house as you like. • Make the house look occupied. Turn lights on and off at night, leave a car in the driveway and be seen outside the house periodically clearly showing that someone there. These actions will greatly deter any potential break in’s or vandalism that can occur when homes are thought to be empty. • Each morning fill the bird-feeders and scatter bird seeds and peanuts on the deck and the ground below. • Take care of Grey Kitty (a.k.a. GK, Key-Key) in the mornings and evening). • Some nights raccoons will stop by for a visit (i.e. to snack). To keep them from causing trouble, throw a canister of dry cat-food, and peanuts onto the driveway. • On Tuesday morning (by 7:30 a.m.) or the night before secured by the mail boxes, take trash can(s) to the curb near the mail boxes for pickup. • Care for quite a few indoor plants with regular watering when the top soil feels dry to the touch, or they start to look wilted. • New: If it’s hot and there’s no rain please care for outdoor plants with regular evening watering. Please water the garden and flowers boxes. Other flowers are in the planters in front of the garage, along the wooden fence in the front of the large pine tree, and down below in the rocky area (roses, center planter and a new Aspen tree coming up). • Maintain the house and leave it in the condition in which you found it. • Bring in the mail and newspaper on a daily basis. Place it in the study on the coffee table in my study. Feel free to recycle the newspapers. • Be sure to notify us with any questions and/or concerns as soon as possible. • Make yourself at home and enjoy. Thank you!
