House Sitter in Santa Fe, New Mexico

We are a couple, Jan & Klaus. We've been together in San Francisco area for 2 1/2 years. Klaus and I are both transplants from the Albuquerque area of New Mexico. I lived there for 8 years, Klaus, for 7. Before that, I spent most of my life in the Washington D.C. area. Klaus is originally from Germany, raised in both Germany and Columbia, South America. Both of us have a passion for travel and have traveled a lot (together and singly) outside the U.S. Now, as we are both in our 60's, we're ready to do more exploring. Owning no real estate property, we are at this point putting our household belongings into storage and going forward with our plan to eventually go to Europe and travel extensively there. We came up with the idea of house sitting as a transition between living in the States and eventually locating in Europe. Our experience as home owners and wisdom of the elders, we think would help us to keep your home safe and in good hands I am a musician and was a piano and vocal teacher for 30 years in the D.C. area. Now I'm a certified Sound Healing Therapist (since 2003) and Klaus is a certified Massage Therapist and Bowenwork Specialist. We both feel it is important now to help people with our training in healing emotional and physical wounds. Beyond healing work, I have a passion for beauty and creativity. I have a knack for decorating interiors of homes. I am also basically a self-taught seamstress, have spent this past year making many items of clothing for men and women. I also have a line of jewelry (www.Janina Creations.....) which is based on high-end swarovski crystal necklaces and bracelets. I love beauty outside the home as well, and enjoy light gardening. Klaus is a man who can fix things; i.e., he just spent an hour or so repairing some kitchen drawers. Klaus loves people and conversation, and has a curiosity about everything! He loves to drive and so, since moving to the Bay Area, has driven for Uber and Lyft. This also gives him a chance to practice his "people" skills. One important thing about Klaus is his passion for order and cleanliness. He's not obsessively tidy but he knows exactly where to find the hammer or an item in the glove compartment of his car.
