House Sitter in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

I am a longtime zoo professional with experience in the care and management of wildlife in zoological institutions (Milwaukee County Zoo and Brookfield Zoo in Chicago). I would prefer jobs with furball responsibilities as well as house-sitting. I have had 3 golden retrievers and a cat over the past 20 years, and have been pet/house-sitting for families after my female golden Kelsey passed away a number of years ago. Recently I have acquired jobs caring for a duo of retrievers (one flat-coated and one golden lab) for a couple weeks, for two shih tzus (one that was disabled) for a week while the owners were away for vacation, and have reoccurring jobs with a family of Agility champions (a papillon and a border collie) and with a family that has an epileptic sheltie (requiring medication)and a shih tzu. I not only take great care in providing love and exercise for your pets but also care for your home - watering plants (inside and out), taking in mail, vacuuming to keep ahead of pet hair accumulation, keeping kitchen and bathrooms clean, and washing any sheets/towels that I use so you return to a clean home. I prefer staying within the home of the pets so that I can care for them round-the-clock, and also to keep them company in their own environment. I recently completed a PhD program at George Mason University in Virginia in conservation biology and have international experience with conservation organizations working on conservation of endangered species. I am in the process of writing papers from my dissertation and thus, would work from your house and keep your pets company all day long with minimal time away. I would require a wireless internet connection to be able to do this. I am a complete animal fanatic and am very comfortable with animals. I am probably older than your usual pet sitter (I'm 59) but continue to need my "dog fix". I keep fit as a runner and thus have plenty of energy to give to your furball family members.
