House Sitter in Santa Rosa, California

Hello, my name is Pete. I am a professional in my 40s and am moving to the Santa Rosa area from Vermont in late October/early November and I'm looking for an opportunity to housesit/caretake in exchange for a roof over my head for any portion or all of November (i.e., I will do home, pet, plant, property care for free!). A bit about me--I'm a lover of pets (mine won't be moving out until later in the winter :(, another reason I'd like to watch someone else's for a spell) and am active/able to get yours out for a walk, run, etc. I have ample experience house sitting, looking after all types of animals (cats, dogs, horses, chickens), gardens, house plants, etc. and am a recent home owner (the stress of returning from a trip to a poorly looked after house...grrrr!).
