House Sitter in Chattanooga, Tennessee

I have recently moved to the Chattanooga area from Virginia after accepting a job at Parkridge Hospital as a psychiatric nurse. Before I purchase a house or commit to a long term lease, I had hoped to have the opportunity to explore the city and surrounding areas. House sitting seemed to provide a perfect solution to my temporary housing conundrum. I have had two long term house sitting jobs in the past. Both jobs involved the care of pets, gardens/plants, basic household upkeep (trash, mail, light housework, oversight of any repairs or maintenance). I like to refer to myself as a "girl friday", as I am available to accomplish whatever is requested or required. I would prefer to find a job that lasts from 6 to 12 months, however I am flexible. I am single with no pets - not even a fish. My children are grown and I do not know anyone in this town other than the people with whom I work.
