House Sitter Job in Jackson Heights, New York

DESCRIPTION I need coverage, from approximately the 10th to 23rd, October, 2017. The sit entails living in and caring for my 2 indoor domestic shorthair cats and houseplants while maintaining a clean and tidy home. They're 12 years old; Marcel is still quite active and fetching. Chloe--they're sibs--is demure and has Feline , under control since she was a kitten. Both are very affectionate, though it takes Chloe a bit longer to warm up to a stranger. I live in a large studio in an elevator building, w. good light, a block and a half from rapid transit. I've put a good deal of thought and color into my cozy surroundings, eking out 5 separate mini-spaces: living, dining, boudoir, kitchen, office. Laundry room in basement. The neighborhood is extremely diverse in age, gender identification, race, ethnicity and socioeconomics. Responsibility and respect for my environment and the integrity of my cats is mandatory. I must stress this because my last experience was horrific. A mature, single person is preferred, as is a vegetarian, but I'm not writing this in stone. It is imperative that I meet with the house-minder in person or via Skype. I'm also requesting verifiable references, including phone numbers along with email. One reference must be employment related, the other from a former stay as a house/pet sitter. The reference must be able to prove he/she is not merely a friend, but can truly vouch for the sitter based on experience or a professional relationship. Considerations: I don't have a TV. I have a next door neighbor who has a set of keys and can be a go-to person for any number of things that might come up. She has my permission to enter the apartment should she suspect something untoward is afoot. This privilege has saved my cats' lives. My neighbor never has and never will abuse her privilege.
