House Sitter in Ottawa, Ontario

Description: Hey my name is Ruth. My husband Andre and I are looking for a house sitting job in Ottawa & anywhere in the surrounding area. We were currently house sitting for our next door neighbours who just lost their cottage to the flood on the Ottawa River. We are now displaced & luckily staying with friends for the short term. Because of this we will be ooking for another house sitting//pet sitting opportunity. We are hoping to contribute our combined skills as house sitters for your home so that you can be assured that everything is well taken care of as if it were our own home. We can be available as needed starting September first until spring 2020. Looking for preferably a longer term (6-8 month snowbird arrangement for this winter but are open to other options potentially :) The benefit for you is that you get to enjoy the south or somewhere else while we take care of things back at home for you. And we benefit because we get somewhere to live this winter until we leave on our own retirement full time RV experience of a lifetime trip in our new soon to be renovated 34’ RV starting September 1,2020 for at least a year. Description of Skills: We have 25 years of home ownership experience and are both comfortable with all inside & outside home cleaning and maintenance (in February we just sold our beautiful home that we owned for 20 years on the Ottawa River). We can do all inside plant watering, early spring lawn maintenance, and winter snow clearing. We have been both owners of cats and dogs (&fish) so are open to caring for your pets if we are a good match for them. I work full time from home for a large pharmaceutical company so someone would be home all day. We have our own personal transportation.
