House Sitter in Boone, North Carolina

Hello, My name is Heidi and I am a professional housesitter in Boone, NC. I have just recently relocated back to Boone which I consider to be my hometown. I lived in Athens Ohio where I accrued over 10 years of housesitting experience. (please see local references...additional references can be provided upon request). Currently I am offering conscientious plant and home care for long-term housesits only.....that is 3-12 months or longer. To date, my longest housesit was just last year at 18 months. My services would be ideal for someone going away on sabbatical, or going away for an extended vacation, internship, or business trip. Leaving your house empty for extended periods of time is not ideal for security or peace of mind. While you are away it is comforting to know your home is being watched over and taken care of. When you contact me we will discuss your needs for plants and home and decide on an agreeable monthly payment or whether it is an even and mutual exchange. (Which is usually the way it goes) While you are away your heart can rest assured that I will be there to provide heartfelt care for your beloved plants and home. A bit about me...I am 52 and, at this time have no pets. I lead a quiet, contemplative lifestyle and enjoy spending time at home cooking, meditating, watching movies, as well as being creative. I don't drink, party or smoke and am physically fit and love to walk, hike, paddle, and enjoy morning Pilates and stretching. I'd love to help care for, at least, a moderately clean, clutter-free home. While it does not need to be perfect I do require that the house be a dry environment...aka free of mold/must/excessive moisture as I have a mold allergy. Because I am very conscientious of the indoor air I breathe, I have been fragrance and chemical free for 15 years . This means I use no fragranced cleaning products, no scented garbage bags, no carpet or room deodorizers, only free-and-clear detergents, no scented dryer sheets, no scented candles, incense or burning sage or herbs, no perfume or scented soaps, etc. I think you get the idea! I change the furnace filter regularly, as well as, clean the dryer vents and know the importance of drying out the front loading washing machine gasket to keep down mold growth. These are the little things that homeowners do that are so important!! As you can see I will treat your home as my own.
